And so the fest has concluded and the submission masterlist is now finished. Commenting is highly encouraged and you don't need an DW account to do so!

We had a really great turn out for our first run! I'm hoping to do this again next year, perhaps maybe not in December but during the summer. We'll see how things play out! I’ll be in close contact with my good friend Yuu so that our fests don’t collide with one another, should he decide to put on Nordipalooza again next year. But I don’t think this will be a problem. :D

I do want to give a big thank you to everyone who participated. I can't wait to go through all the amazing things you've produced! Thank you so much for making this such a big success!

Surströmmiakki Fest: 2013 Submission Master List

1. Brushstrokes by Yuuago/Rukkilill/Roesslyng (Prompt: Painting (Optional: 1800s))

Summary: When Sweden had commissioned the portraits, he had meant it only as a token of affection; he hadn't thought there would be a time when he'd see Finland's portrait more often than Finland himself. (Rated: G)

2. Box of Letters by Bluest-Of-Jayys (Prompt: Letter(s) (Optional: 1800s))

Summary: Sweden and Finland easily have a century of unspoken history between each other, all documented in a series of unsent letters. Now, as a "married" couple in modern times, it's about time that they were shared. (Rated T)

3. Sammumaton polte by Televa (Prompt: 6th of December, a real person)

Summary: It's the 6th of December, and Tino and Berwald are spending it in a traditional Finnish way. (Rated G)

4. Fireside by kiramaru7 (Prompt: Fire (Optional: Storm))

Summary: Finland and Sweden cuddle by the fire, amongst other things, while it snows outside… (Rated: M/18+)

Summary: For the first time in his life, Berwald finds love. And it's in the form of a perfect Finn who becomes a regular at the coffee shop he works at. (Rated G)

Summary: Some things, once broken, cannot be fixed, but perhaps there are other solutions. (Rated G) (A/N: This fic should be read after first reading this amazing, earlier posted one called Brushstrokes to which it responds to.)

9. All the Faith, the Virtue of my Heart by crashedtimemachine (Prompt: Holiday (Optional: Summer))

Summary: Many cultures throughout the world believe that magic is strongest on Midsummer's Eve, particularly magic related to finding one's future mate. Tino is sixteen, and he still doesn't have anyone in mind, so he asks Lukas, the village shaman, if there are any magical solutions to his wife-hunting conundrum. Lukas has a few suggestions, but things get a bit complicated for Tino along the way. (Rated M/18+)

Summary: Nightmares are pretty common for nations, but Finland always seems to end up in strange situations thanks to his. (Rated T)

Summary: Parallel Sweden 1 and Parallel Sweden 2 enjoy nothing more than making their beloved Parallel Finland happy. (Rated M/18+)

Summary: They were passionate lovers. But sometimes Finland was the most passionate and the most daring between the two. And Sweden absolutely adored the attention. (Rated M/18+)
